New Friend Update - Shayna

2013 definitely seems to be a big year for expanding my baby social circle.  The first new friend of the year award goes to Baby Shayna who was born January 6th.  Isn't she adorable?

Congrats to the proud parents, Huyen and Ben.  Ben and my father grew up together in NJ and then traveled together for a few weeks in Vietnam back in 2008.  Ben and Huyen met on that same trip.

Now 5 years later, Shayna and I are living, breathing examples that you can quit your dayjob, sublet your apartment, run away from all your responsibilites, blow through your savings, meet exotic women and that it will - with 100% certainty (2 for 2 at least) - all work out for the best.  Disclosure:  Your results may vary.  Family success is not guaranteed from traveling around the world. Some people come back with a beautiful wife and sweet baby; others with chlamydia.  

On a side note, I guess I'm not the only half-Asian / half-Jewish baby born out of a world travel romance in 2008.  New friend or future nemesis?  We shall see...
